30 miles south of Paris and 3 miles north of Fontainebleau, the Regional Leisure Base of Bois-le-Roi is situated in an area of exceptional natural beauty. Encompassed by the Seine to the north and by the famed Fonatinebleau forest to the South and South East, the base boasts over 73 hectares of leisure facilities.

Fontainebleau forest:

The forest of Fontainebleau is protected by France's Office National des Forêts, and it is recognised as a French national park. It is managed so that its wild plants and trees, such as the rare Service Tree of Fontainebleau, and its populations of birds, mammals, and butterflies, can be conserved. It is a former royal hunting park often visited by hikers and horse riders.

Fontainbleu:

Fontainebleau is renowned for its large and scenic forest. It's a favourite weekend getaway for Parisians, along with the historical château de Fontainebleau, which once belonged to the kings of France. It is also the home of INSEAD, one of the world's most elite business schools; of the École supérieure d'ingénieurs en informatique et génie des télécommunications (ESIGETEL), one of France's grandes écoles; and of a branch of the École nationale supérieure des mines de Paris, the Paris School of Mines, also one of the elite grandes écoles.

Our courses in Bois-le-Roi near Paris

Language Training:

All language classes are taught in groups of 10 by an experienced teacher (French native speaker with excellent record and very good knowledge of English) responding directly to the Paris branch of Tellus Group.

Sports Activities:

All sports activities are supervised by the expert staff of the Boi-le-Roi leisure base.

Accommodation

Accommodation in Bois-le-Roi

Leisure base Bois-le-Roi has 170 beds grouped in 3 separate buildings. All the premises are available for organised groups. Rooms can accommodate between 4 and 9 persons. Shared bathrooms are allocated outside the rooms. Separate 2 person rooms are available for accompanying teachers.

Le Château

The landmark building of the Base de Loisir and the ancient mansion of Félix Potin. It offers spectacular views on the Seine and the school grounds and outdoor arena. Adapted for classrooms, conference rooms, and student accommodation, Le Château offers 44 beds in shared rooms (3-9 students per room).



La Forêt

This purpose built student accommodation is situated on the outskirts of the Fontainebleau forest and is also next to the school’s restaurant. It can accommodate up to 56 students in 8 shared rooms (6 beds each) and up to 8 teachers in 4 double rooms. Shared bathrooms (separate for boys and girls) have 4 showers and 3 toilets.

Les Abeilles

This purpose built student accommodation can house up 66 students in shared rooms (one triple bedroom and 13 quad bedrooms). Every room has ensuite bathroom with shower and hand basin. Shared toilets are located in the corridor.

Directions

From Paris: Boi-le-Roi has excellent train connection with the capital

  • Depart from Paris Gare de Lyon by Grandes lignes (time of travel: 35 min); Direction: SENS ou MONTEREAU (make sure to check if your car stops at Bois-le-Roi)
  • Follow the signs to UCPA from the Bois-le-Roi station (25 min on feet)
