Project theme: Training and Work Experience for Employment
Dates: Early to mid May 2011 (4 weeks)
Destination: Chemnitz and Wernigerode in Germany
The aim of the project is to provide the participant the opportunity to enter into further education by demonstrating that they can complete a short course of study and work experience. They will have two weeks of vocational training plus two weeks of work experience. The target group for the project will be those aged 17-22 and those who are unemployed or underemployed and not in full time Vocational Training.
This project is aimed at People in the Labour Market – Those in employment, the self-employed and those available for work (including graduates and those who are currently unemployed) who are able to undertake a placement abroad to acquire new skills, training and work experience which is relevant to their chosen professions.
Eligibility: UK Nationals and Nationals of participating EU countries enrolled in regular courses in schools, institutions of higher education or vocational training, or in adult learning organisations in the UK, or employed in the UK. Please apply to info@tellusgroup.com

Leonardo da Vinci Work Trial Programme for 14 to 18 year-olds
This programme has been designed for adventurous young people who wish to gain their first international work experience. It is specifically aimed at the younger trainee, with a lower intermediate level and higher level of target language (minimum age 14). It is ideal for trainees still in full time education, in their gap year between school and university, or for those who simply wish to gain work experience in an international setting.
The programme helps young people with little or no previous work experience to open doors on the job market in an authentic real-life work environment, improvement of their Language Skill takes place hand in hand with that of their life skills.
This type of placements are more general and, besides the objective of providing young people with a means of improving their existing language skills in a working environment, they also aid applicants to gain valuable international work experience, which may not otherwise be readily available to them
